VVT History 7

Having said that, have we found an ultimate solution? not at all. However, the current more advanced method is called non-cam control technology, which can control the opening and closing of the valve under hydraulic force or electromagnetic force. Its advantage is that it can be adjusted in real time according to the engine speed, and the control is actually done by the central processor. Under the action of the electromagnetic pump, the opening and closing of the throttle valve is controlled by a spring. In addition, the sensor is required to perform valve operating state feedback to the control center.

In this respect, the Lotus Company of the United Kingdom has developed rapidly and developed a technology called Active Gas Distribution System (AVT). The French also developed rapidly in camless control technology. Germany's FEV, Bosch and AVL also have their own unique skills in this field. BMW has applied its Valvetronic system to its camless engine.
