VVT History 6

- Dec 26, 2018 -

In the end, Chrysler chose a technology that only changed the timing of the exhaust valve to reduce the overlap time under low turn. With this technology, expensive teletype control can be eliminated, making the structure simpler. Later, Mahle of Germany produced the SCP camshaft based on this technology and evolved it into a technology called CamlnCam. Therefore, on the 8.4-liter engine of the 2008 Viper SRT10, it not only meets the OBD's emission requirements, but also produces 600 horsepower maximum power and 747 Nm of torque at 6100 rpm. In addition, as for why the SCP camshaft is not applied to the intake valve, the main reason is that even if the power can be increased by a level, for the python, the increased power will only evolve into more. It's just a matter of fetal cigarettes.
