In the late 1990s, Mechadyne began looking for interested investors for his ideas. Chrysler's python design team has a strong interest in this project. Although the Viper V10 engine developed at that time was very powerful in power, it had a long overlap time, but it could not meet the OBD requirements for idle and low-speed emissions. Therefore, they believe that only variable valve timing technology can solve this problem.
In 2002, Mechadyne and other team members began to find ways to apply the British company's SCP technology to their engines. However, this technology has also encountered problems, because the way to place more complex systems by changing the diameter of the camshaft bearings will bring more problems to the production process.
